Ispahani Tea Limited Chairman Mirza Salman Ispahani received the BT-23 tea sapling from the Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi recently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the occasion of \u2018First National Tea Day 2021\u2019 organised by Bangladesh Tea Board at Osmani Memorial Auditorium in Dhaka, the high-quality tea saplings of BT-22 and BT-23 invented in Bangladesh were unveiled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
BT-23 is a high-quality tea plant variety developed by BTRI, the tea research institute of Bangladesh. This tea variety was invented to promote the production of better quality tea in the tea gardens of Bangladesh in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In recognition of Ispahani\u2019s contribution to the tea industry in Bangladesh and the cultivation of this tree variant in Ispahani\u2019s tea gardens, the seedling of this tree was presented to Ispahani, so that they can help to increase the quality of tea produced in Bangladesh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
